The buzz in the social networking sites from the moment the film was announced, numerous shops named 'salala mobiles' coming up in the nook and corner of the state within the last few months, a hit trailer(though I didn't like it), the viral 'Ummachi Rap' sung by Nazriya, the most crowd-pulling young stars you can ask for, an official Facebook page of the film with record likes. A director couldn't have asked for anything better prior to the release of his debut film.

I can't recollect the names of any better marketed films in the recent past. Here, the director Sharath A Haridasan has found inspiration from the massive success of Thattathin Marayath. And Dulquer too. Be it the ingredients, or the making, or Dulquer's attempt to emulate 'Nivin Polly' in his non-existent style, the Thattam effect is still hovering around it.
