Movie Review : Georgettans Crackers Go Wet

Movie Review : Georgettans Crackers Go Wet

Georgettans Pooram ends up as a testimony to the waning powers of the evergreen star Dileep, says Sriram

There are stars, super stars and then there is Dileep. As mentioned in the title of Georgettan’s Pooram as Janapriya Nayakan, he enjoys an evergreen status in the Malayalam industry for his ability of pulling the masses into the theatre irrespective of the crew or other movies running parallel. Thus, he is widely expected to be the dark horse in a tightly packed summer season. To the disappointment of his followers and fans alike, the half-baked Georgettan’s Pooram fails to deliver in any aspect, be it out-and-out entertainment or quality cinema, ending up below average.

Music by Gopi Sundar was ordinary, not contributing anything to lift the movie. His songs also maintained an average level.

Movie Review : The Great Father Is A Super Hero Indeed

Movie Review : The Great Father Is A Super Hero Indeed

Along with a lot of thrill and mass, it states strong facts like rape does not steal anything away from the injured one, voices Sriram.

Ask a child to define the term 'Hero'. Then ask the kid to talk about his/her dad. The answers will be strikingly matching. In an age where brutality against children is encroaching unheard levels, David Ninan of The Great Father dons the role of a super hero to avenge for his daughter. He is helped to reach the audience by a great story, gripping execution, fantastic performances, deep and powerful dialogues all controlled by screenplay which could have been crisper.

The background score is almost symbolic of the flow of the film. When the movie gets into a high, the BGM almost stands out as the highlight. But very often it feels that the score doesn’t do justice to the intensity around. Songs by Gopi Sundar are strictly average. They fail to make vital contributions in terms of impact and promotion.

Movie Review : Take Off Lands Right In The Hearts Of The Audience

Movie Review : Take Off Lands Right In The Hearts Of The Audience
Parvathys breathtaking performance is the soul of the movie, opines Sriram

It’s not always that a movie leaves the viewers with their hearts heavy. It takes genuineness and intensity of situations to do that. Take off, through its impeccable execution of a heavy weight theme gifts the viewers an enthralling emotional experience.

Take off’s gripping cinematography, editing and sound design played vital roles in the intensity of the movie. The score by Gopi Sundar hit its target well. The director did a fine job in not overusing the main BGM dominating in the movie’s trailer, which also carried in it traces of a previous song by Gopi Sundar.
